जलती मोमबत्ती सा वो शख़्स ख़ुद हमेशा जलता रहा, अपने ग़म को छुपाता,पर उसकी आंख सब कुछ कहता रहा। यक़ीनन वो कुछ अलग था सबसे, उसे मैं पढ़ता रहा, मंज़िल की  तलाश में वो ख़ुद अकेला  बढ़ता रहा। वो अच्छा था!वह ख़ुद के सवालों में मुझे उलझाता रहा,            मासूम चहरा देखकर,हरेक मोड़ पर उसे मैं सुलझाता रहा। महज़ दो-तीन दिन ,उससे  दूर जब भी कहीं जाता रहा, हर-क्षण, हर-पल वो मुझसे  मेरा हाल-चाल पूछता रहा। वो दरिया जब उलझता, ख़ुद मेरे पास आता रहा,ए गौरव उसके मन के शरारती बच्चे को हमेशा  राह बताता रहा। फुर्सत उसे मिलता जब भी, वो गुफ्तगू करने आता रहा, दिल की दुकां में ,अपनी मन की बात हमसे कहता रहा। हार हो या जीत ज़िंदगी के मेले  में,वह भी मुस्कुराता रहा,              कुछ तो थी बात आफ़ताब में,वह  प्रकाश बिखेरता रहा............
